ELIOT, Maine — The Planning Board on Tuesday approved the XNG Maine plan to build a compressed natural gas truck terminal at the current site of a propane depot.
XNG Maine will tap into the Maritimes and Northeast Natural Gas pipeline at the back edge of the property at 525 Dow Highway (Route 236). NGL-NE currently owns the site and will continue to operate its propane depot there.
XNG Maine operates a similar compressed natural gas terminal on the Maritimes and Northeast pipeline in Baileyville. The company delivers compressed natural gas by truck to institutional, industrial and commercial customers.
